Installing & launching Trezor Suite

Visit trezor.io/start and choose the correct platform. Suite is available on desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) and has mobile options where supported. After installation, run Suite and connect your Trezor device using a trusted cable.

First-run checklist

1. Connect your Trezor device and follow the guided pairing flow.
2. Verify firmware authenticity when Suite prompts; only proceed when validity is confirmed.

Sending & receiving — secure transaction flows

All transaction signing happens on the Trezor device. Suite constructs the transaction but the Trezor device displays the critical details — recipient address, amount, and network fees — for manual confirmation. This prevents remote manipulation and phishing attempts from changing transaction parameters unnoticed.

Receive workflow

1. Select Receive in Suite.
2. Choose the account and generate an address.
3. Verify that the address shown in Suite matches the address displayed on your Trezor device before sharing it with the sender.

Send workflow

1. Create a new transaction in Suite and enter recipient details.
2. Review estimated network fees and advanced options if needed.
3. Confirm and sign the transaction on the Trezor device after carefully checking the address and amount on-device.

Firmware & software updates

Keeping firmware and Suite updated is critical for security. Suite will notify you when a firmware update is available. Apply updates only when Suite confirms authenticity and follow the step-by-step process. Never enter your recovery seed in response to an update prompt — seeds are used only during restoration on-device.

• Device not recognized: Try a different USB cable/port, avoid USB hubs, check Suite permissions and OS drivers.
